Belt Graduation - September 2021

We are very excited to invite you to this day of celebration!
The Premier Quarterly Graduation Experience is for all members ages 5 and up that currently have 2 stripes (on one side of their belt) and will earn their third stripe in classes during final testing on Wednesday or Thursday, September 15th or 16th (or at the make-up day on Saturday the 18th). To help you, we have handed out the new Focus Exam Sheets, on these are the main things we have learned these past 3 months: that material will be what we do at the final stripe test, we will demonstrate some during the graduation show as well.
Belt graduation is the final step to be recognized for your new rank. It is one big show with everyone together that is a blast and is mandatory to attend. It will be held at a new spacious and comfortable venue, The Dodge Jones Sports Center on Saturday, September 25th at 1042 Loop 322 (the huge building by the Zoo). We have the entire place all to ourselves, we will have a full concession, costume characters, vendors, a DJ, demonstrations, door prizes, photo backdrop, black belt signing and more!
Students should be there by 1:30 pm to line-up, be ready to perform, and enjoy the celebration! We start at 2:00 and should be done by 3:30 pm. Dress in your full program uniform: (no shorts). You must be signed up and have your graduation fee paid by the deadline of Tuesday, September 21st at 10:00 pm, for your belt and certificate to be awarded at graduation. Register online at JamesCoxMartialArts.com, just log in and go to the dashboard, (if you have not yet created an account, go to sign up and do so, then see graduation and register, with students name, current and next belt color and size, with payment of $49). You do not need to register if you are pre-paid from either of the seasonal sales.
The 3-4-year-old Tiny Champs currently with 2 stripes will instead graduate during their regular class on Wednesday, September 22nd, or Thursday, September 23rd, but will still need to register online before September 21st.
The only people that WILL NOT be graduating on September 25th are Red 3’s, Black Belts, and any new white belt that enrolled after August 20th (they will be on track to graduate in our Winter Show later in December).
We also have available vendor booth spaces if you know of anyone interested. We are looking for some cool door prizes to be donated as well!
Lastly, please turn in the “Intent to Promote Form”, this helps us double-check the information we need, this form is also for the parents to help confirm the behavior of our students outside of classes.
